Animals like Sam deserve a chance at a pain-free life.

When Sam came to the SPCA, his body showed heartbreaking signs of owner neglect. His skin was painfully red, itchy, and patchy while his eyes were coated with thick, green debris that made it difficult for him to see. Thankfully, Sam’s sweet personality was still intact — He couldn’t help but nuzzle affectionately against one of our staff’s legs when he arrived, unknowingly leaving behind a trail of white flaky skin. This sweet pup was in desperate need of a medicated spa day!

Our veterinarian team provided him with soothing baths to ease his skin irritation and prescribed special ointment for his eyes. After a few weeks of treatment, Sam became even more vibrant – his skin healed, and his eyes became bright and clear. While he still needs daily eye drops long-term, this special pup can wiggle right up next to his new family worry-free!
