The SPCA Serving Erie County's Pet Food Pantry
At the SPCA, we believe the bond between people and their pets is sacred. Our Pet Food Pantry offers temporary support so that no one in our community has to make the heartbreaking choice between feeding themselves and feeding the animals they love.

Frequently Asked Questions
To help keep this program safe, respectful, and sustainable for all our neighbors, we ask that you keep the following in mind:
– Our pantry is open to anyone 18 years or older. Currently, no proof of hardship is required.
– Please let us know if your contact information changes (phone, address, etc.) or if your “pet family” grows or shrinks. This helps us plan our inventory so every bowl stays full!
– To make sure we can support as many families as possible, our program is for household pets only. We are unable to provide food for breeding pets or community (outdoor) cat colonies at this time.
– We strive to keep the SPCA a warm and welcoming place for everyone. To protect our hard-working staff and volunteers, we ask that all interactions remain respectful.
– Because our pantry relies on the kindness of donors, our stock changes daily. While we always do our best to meet your needs, the amount or type of food available may vary.
To keep the friendly, community-focused vibe of your updated SPCA Serving Erie County page, here is a rewrite for your FAQ section.
How often can I visit the pantry? To make sure we can help as many of our neighbors as possible, pantry assistance is available once every 30 days per household. This helps us keep the shelves stocked for everyone!
What kind of food will my pet get? Can I request a specific brand? Our pantry is stocked through the generosity of our community, so the brands and types of food we have change from day to day. While we can’t always guarantee a specific brand, we’ll do our very best to find something your pet will love. If your pet has specific allergies, please let us know so we can check our current inventory for a safe match!
Can I stop by without an appointment? We would love to see you! We host a Walk-In Wednesday on the first Wednesday of every month from noon to 3 p.m.! Appointments are not needed. On any other day, we require a scheduled appointment to ensure your supplies are ready. You can easily set that up by submitting an online form here or by calling our Pet Food Pantry Coordinator, Jackie, at (716) 875-7360, ext. 204.
What happens if I miss my pickup day? If you can’t make your window, just reach out to us to reschedule. If the day slips by entirely, you are always welcome to submit a new request for a future date that works better for you.
