When you make a gift to the SPCA Serving Erie County’s Annual Holiday campaign, you are giving animals like BJ safe shelter, nutritious meals, lifesaving medical care, and an endless supply of love.

BJ, a 6-year-old Chihuahua mix, was brought to the SPCA Serving Erie County not feeling well, he was barely eating and couldn’t go to the bathroom. The SPCA Veterinary Team began their intake exams and Dr. Kean ordered abdominal X-rays to be taken and the results showed that a foreign body was inside his intestines. Surgery was scheduled to remove a piece of cloth that he must have swallowed weeks earlier. BJ made a quicky recovery, and was back to eating and going to the bathroom regularly. After being adopted, his continuous tail-wagging as he left our building showed just how happy he was!

Open your heart to the animals in our community this holiday season!
