When you donate to the SPCA Serving Erie County, you’re turning your great compassion for animals into an act of tremendous caring. For animals like Rosie…

Rosie, a 4-year-old Cane Corso mix, came to the SPCA Serving Erie County as a stray last August. Upon intake, our Veterinary Team began their exams on her and documented that she had developed severe skin and ear allergies from a flea infestation. She had redness, scabbing, and thickening of the skin all over her body and copious amounts of dark, waxy debris that filled her ears. She also would need a dental cleaning and be put on an appropriate diet to help get her to a proper weight.

If she would have been on her own any longer, she may not have survived. Rosie knew nothing but hunger, fear, and loneliness.

Rosie was put on a special medical cream that was applied daily to help with the poor skin condition and reinvigorate hair growth. Her ears were cleaned, and she was administered antibiotics to alleviate the ear infection. She made wonderful progress and we are happy to announce she met a lovely couple who made Rosie part of their family forever!

Through your caring support, you can give animals in Erie County, just like Rosie, the lives they deserve.
