When Pets Hurt, Families Hurt Too
Unexpected emergencies shouldn’t end in heartbreak.
Help keep families and their pets together when they need each other most.
Life can change in an instant. Whether due to an accident, injury, or unforeseen disease involving extensive care, caring for a pet can come with a high price tag. Each day at the SPCA’s Lipsey Veterinary Clinic, pet owners come to us when they cannot afford necessary veterinary care at a traditional veterinary office. The Marie Gebura Caring Heart Program acts as a safety net and ensures that pet owners can afford to care for their pet when unexpected medical costs occur.

This special endowment was created to cover lifesaving medical care for pets whose owners can’t afford the cost. Your support provides hope at the exact moment it’s needed most.

Every Dollar Has a Story
This sweet 8-year-old Chihuahua mix, Minnie Mouse, recently underwent a spay and mastectomy at the Lipsey Veterinary Clinic. Our dedicated team removed an entire mammary chain due to multiple masses, ensuring Minnie’s health and comfort for years to come.
Minnie’s family was facing an unimaginable situation: the possibility of losing their cherished pup because they couldn’t afford her surgery. Thankfully, the Marie Gebura Caring Heart Fund stepped in, covered the entire cost, and allowed Minnie to stay right where she belongs – with her loving family! Minnie is recovering beautifully at home, and her family is overflowing with gratitude.
As a nonprofit organization that receives no government funding, the SPCA is only able to help these owners through donations made by our generous community.
Your donation can mean the difference between heartbreak and healing.
